this wedding. it felt like home. even though i was moving two days after it. it felt like closure from that place.

i sit on wedding blog posts. something vulnerable about them. but no longer. you gotta see them for sure. weddings have always felt like a hollow cove along the coastline. private, intimate, endearing. but sometimes you gotta let people in to see the magic you see. i hope you always enjoy these tiny moments.

this is an oldy. Intimate, relaxed, with summer sun that never ends. deep prussian blue details you’d swear the sky’d become teardrops. please lord keep sending these to me. ill last forever.

A New to Waco Photographer

A New to Waco Photographer

Hey Waco Texas! This past weekend I enjoyed a creative meet up with Waco Portraits. I am so amazed at the amount of creative happenings in this town. I sure hope you are enjoying my work. I am working so hard to learn new things and to stand out and not look like everyone else and I am so glad you are on this journey with me.

Although this is only a small snippet of this wedding, I hope that you feel every photo the way that I do. I hope you feel super jump up and down reception dancing joy, and crashing slowness of a first look. I also hope your heart swells with pride as we see parents look onto their kids getting married. I hope that with every photo you see, you are encouraged in your own life to crave authentic love and to be in every moment with the people you love. Enjoy.

This day. Hands down my favorite wedding to date. I just loved the intimacy. I loved spending time with just the bride and groom. I'll be phasing out my long wedding days in the hopes of shooting more elopement style weddings. So if you know someone, tell them to hit me up!

 Katie + Austin

Katie + Austin

I've been working on this blog for weeks now. Finally uploaded all my favorite pictures. Katie and Austin were a joy to work with over the last 6 months. I am so honored you trusted me on such a big day. My many thanks and appreciation. I think I am clearly better at taking pictures than writing so I'll just leave you with some pretty pictures on this gloomy Friday.

Katie's Bridals+

Katie's Bridals+

I have been dying to show these bad boys since May 1st. Katie and I had to reschedule at least three different times because of crazy rain. The last time we scheduled it was take them or nothing! Her wedding was fast approaching and I would be out of town for the next two weeks. So we changed plans and showed up to the Hackney Warehouse! So shout out to Katie for being so flexible. She rocks.

I was so pumped to walk into a bridal room with large windows, industrial concrete and clean white brick walls. I have been so sick of the mountain pictures. I appreciate the gorgeous backdrops that surround me up here but it's easy to get stuck doing the same thing and not coming out of your creative comfort zone. This is what I needed during a week I had six other sessions lined up. So refreshing, so challenging. Thank you Lord for giving me this job!

2017 Kalei + Wesley

2017 Kalei + Wesley

The first wedding of 2017 was a good one. The rain held off all day long which was a a huge prayer of mine for the day! Kalei and Wesley where super laid back and just excited to get married. The expressions on their face had me smiling all day as well as a few tears shed after their first dance. Here is a collection of my favorite images from the day. Hope they treat you well!
